How to: approve Blinktime in Google Workspace and pin to Chrome bar

Step 1: approve Blinktime extension within Google Workspace

As a Chrome Enterprise Admin:

Navigate to the Google Admin Console, then:

1. Devices > Chrome > Apps &Extensions> Users &Browsers > Yellow + button > Add from Chrome WebStore > search “Blinktime”
2. ‍
   1. If rolling out to users immediately: "Force install and pin to browser"
   2. If rolling out to users later: "Allow". You can update this setting to "Force install and pin to browser" at the point it goes live to all employees.
3. Click "Save".

Step 2: approve the app for SSO login

1. Navigate to the Google Admin Console, then:
2. Security > Access & Data Control > API Controls > Manage Third Party App Access > Configure a new app

3. Search for "Blinktime"
4. Click on the Blinktime app
5. Scope: select "All" or a specific group, depending on who will be using Blinktime in your organisation
6. Click Continue
7. Select "Trusted" > "Continue"
8. "Finish"

How users can manually add Blinktime to their Chrome bar

If Blinktime's Chrome extension is not pinned to each user's Chrome bar by the company Admins, users can add it manually from the Google Web Store

1. Navigate to the Google Web Store and search for Blinktime: Google Web Store: Blinktime
2. Click "Get it now"

3. Navigate to the puzzle piece on the right hand side of URL bar.

4. Clink the pin icon next to Blinktime
